PERTUBUHAN PEMULIHAN DALAM KOMUNITI SELAYANG

PPDK SELAYANG (Pertubuhan Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Selayang)-PPM-003-10-19102017 was founded in 1991 as a rehabilitation center for Peoples with Disabilities (PWDs) ages 3 and above in Selayang, Batu Caves and nearby area. Registered as an NGO (Non-Government Organisation) under the Registration of Society Malaysia PPM-

Served for almost 900 PWDs since it started with 5 major services as:

1. Special Education (EIP classes, LPV classes);

2. Medical Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy);

and 2 value added programmes such as:

3. Music (Percussions group, and vocal group),

4. Sport (Special Olympics, Paralympics and Special Olympics Young Athletes-SOYA); 

and

5. Sheltered Workshop for those who can't work at open market.

PPDK Selayang awarded by Social Welfare Department as One-Stop Center for Selangor State and referral center for various PPDK around Malaysia.

Currently (October 2018) 96 PWDs registered and received services as above with 63 children age 3-17 and 33 adult age 18-48.
