PERSATUAN RUMAH KANAK-KANAK TRINITI, SELANGOR ( PPP / SEL : 42 / 99 ) Home for the Orphaned, Abused, Neglected and Abandoned children No. 5, Jalan Bukit Menteri Utara 7/4, Seksyen 7, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Tel / Fax : 03-79585313 Email Address : trinityhome_pj@yahoo.co.uk Date: 27 march 2015. Greetings and well wishes, I bring to you, and all in your esteemed organization and pray all are fine by the grace of God. On behalf of all the children of Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti, Selangor, I wish to humbly submit my request and appeal for an urgent donation, to help us to run the administration and maintenance of the Home, as we are currently facing severe financial crisis in our monthly operating costs and expenditure. Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti, Selangor was established by me and my wife in the year 1998 December, with the aim and objective to help the orphaned, abused, neglected and abandoned children to lead a healthy and normal life and with the basic amenities. The Home is manned by a committee of eight (8) people comprising of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and four committee members, and is registered with the Ministry of Welfare Services, and with the Local Council, (MBPJ) and with the Inland Revenue for tax Exemption. It has been 15 years since our inauguration and we have been managing through all the trials and turmoil in the maintenance of the Home. Since our inauguration, we have helped approximately 100 “ 120 children in our Home and they are now gainfully employed in some field such as in the Auxiliary Police in Singapore, ASTRO, Sunway Hotel and other commercial organizations and they do return to the Home to lend a hand in some way or other. The Home is currently helping twenty (20) children from the ages of 6 to 17 years, comprising of 10 girls and 10 boys, who are all schooling in the primary and secondary schools. The children are studying in government aided schools, such as in Assunta Primary School , Bukit Bintang Boys School , and S.J.K.M Jalan 227, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Sir/Madam, I trust your good self would concur with me, that the cost of living expenses especially in the cost of dry and wet Marketing food, has increased three-fold, and with the donation we receive from the Ministry of Welfare Services, which is only for subsistence is based on RM 3.50 per child per day, which is inordinately too low and impossible for us to run the Home. The Ministry has based their calculation on RM 3.50 per child per day which is approximately (3.50 x 20 children = RM 70.00 per day, and for a year their calculation is RM 25,200.00). Sir/Madam, it is definitely impossible and an uphill task for us to operate and maintain the Home with the grant we receive from the welfare. Our monthly expenditure is in the region of RM17, 000.00 going up to RM18, 000.00 every month, which is inclusive of monthly rental, wet/dry marketing, salaries for the staff, transportation, and maintenance of van, utilities for the telephone, fax, internet, and other expenses. Appended here below is our monthly expenditure for your kind consideration. We annex herewith our latest monthly statement for your perusal. To be honest, Sir/Madam, we are surviving on a month to month basis, and I have to bear with any shortfall to meet the other expenses, otherwise we would have to close the Home and find an alternative place for these less fortunate children. Our monthly rental is in the region of approximately RM4, 500.00 which is the bulk of our expenditure, as the Home is located in petaling Jaya, with a 4 room bungalow, on a 11,000 sq ft of land. Sir/Madam, ever since the inception of Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti one of our aims was to secure a permanent place for the children to call their œHOME it is with this intention we have targeted our PROJECT PURCHASE the current premises and to have a permanent place for these less privileged children. God willing we will be able to purchase the current building in the coming year. The current building cost about RM2.5Million. Sir/Madam, for duration of 14 years we have been paying a sum of RM 510,000.00 towards rental alone. RM288,000.00 thousand at RM2500 a month for 10 years and for the new premises RM 222,000 at RM 5000.00 for 1 year and RM 4500.00 for 3 years. The Home is conducive as it is located in a zone which is approved by the Majlis Bandaran Petaling Jaya and within easy access to both the primary and secondary schools. We annex here with our letter of approval from the Ministry of Welfare Services, MBPJ, Inland Revenue for tax exemption for your esteemed organization would be able to consider our urgent appeal and would be able to help us financially for the monthly operating cost. Sir/Madam, I humbly submit on behalf of all these children in the Home, and pray that Sir/Madam, would help us financially to meet our expenses as we have nowhere else to seek for help, and on behalf of all the children and staff of the Home, I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and gratefulness to Sir/Madam, and pray that your good self, will consider my urgent appeal and help us financially. œIf you have the heart to give, we have the hands to serve; together we hope we can help these less fortunate children to lead a fruitful life and to be able to stand on their own feet in the future.
