Guarding the azure “walker”: paving the way home for turtles

The Story

We are a group of students who love the ocean and care about natural ecology. For us, the ocean is not just a place to vacation. It is the heart of the earth, and turtles are the ancient souls that pass through this heart.
Turtles have lived on Earth for more than 100 million years, but now they are facing an unprecedented crisis. Plastic pollution, poaching, and habitat destruction are bringing them to the brink of extinction. We launched this fundraiser to support Turtle Conservation to clean up beaches, protect spawning grounds, and rescue injured turtles.
Every time we see a turtle accidentally eating a plastic bag or getting tangled in a fishing net, we feel incredibly heartbroken. Turtles are a healthy barometer of the ocean, and protecting them is actually redeeming the damage we ourselves cause to the environment. This sense of responsibility makes us feel that we must act immediately.
